I can confirm I am having the same issues as shown by Saïvann Carignan above.

I'm running:

Dell Vostro 200
BIOS 1.0.11
Hardy Heron updated daily
Kernel 2.6.24-14-generic
Hard drive in SATA mode

I can get the system to boot on the kernel, but it's random. It will fail to boot 5 times and then it will work just fine.

This system was upgraded from a current Gutsy, which didn't have the boot problem at all.
