acacha: No, those bugs are most likely not related at all. Keep in mind that my system works in Feisty, and that IRQPOLL "solution" does not work.

So, everyone, before "confirming" this bug, please make sure that your disk works in Feisty, but not in Gutsy. Or that you're certain that it's the same bug by other means. I believe the bug could be easily fixed since it's just something that was changed from 2.6.20 to 2.6.22, but I have no real knowledge about these things. That said, thanks for the input.
