I have Dell Latitude D830
1) I've installed linux-backports-modules-2.6.22-14.10 (method G).
3) Made the trick via the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base (options snd-hda-intel model=dell-m42)

Results:
1) Sound is working
2) Internal and external mic is not working at all.

What I want:
1) Have at least internal mic working.

Voice recording is critical for me. Thanks.
