Comment 62 for bug 57146

The wext driver should be used with current versions of hostap but that doesn't appear to be the problem. There is some interaction between the driver and the firmware that is failing in some cases now. Probably the next step would be to go back to versions of the kernel that worked and compare them with versions that don't work.
