Comment 95 for bug 182489

I just installed the current intrepid-desktop-i386 on my Asus Eee 900. To enable wireless, I had to comment "blacklist ath5k" and uncomment "blacklist ath_pci" in /etc/modprobe.d/madwifi and reboot.

So far, I couldn't notice any wireless slowdowns compared to other operating systems.
