I was pretty sure that after the community reactions were so negative about the buttons now on the left that beta 2 will already have them back on the right side again.

I read only through the first 50 and last 20 comments or so - I think this should be far enough for switching back! And with this comment there is my vote also for switching back.

BTW: If you want to save mouse miles driven, then shouldn't be the right side completely eliminated? - And all dialog buttons should then be on the left side also, isn't it?
