Can confirm the problem

startkde: Starting up...
Fatal error: you need to have a KComponentData object before
you do anything that requires it! Examples of this are config
objects, standard directories or translations.
kdeinit4_wrapper: Warning: connect(/home/****/.kde4/socket-******/kdeinit4__0) failed: : No such file or directory

Nevertheless KDE4 starts up with blank background
after

env DISPLAY=:0.0
ksmserver &
plasma &

the standard KDE environment is working. But with restricted functionality of KDE4 APPS
(KLauncher could not be reached via D-Bus)
