I can't say this is everybody's problem, but I learned that the kmilo service needs to be restarted after you change the Master Channel in kmix (see System Settings' Service Manager in Advanced; you can also log out and back in). I made a patch that prevents the kmilo service from needing to be restarted, so if, for whatever reason, you change the Master Channel a lot, or simply want the freedom to do it without restarting kmilo or logging out/in, hopefully this simple patch can be integrated.
