Same problem here. I've had it since KDE 4.0. It never happened with KDE 3.5.x. Yesterday, I did a fresh install of kubuntu 8.10, and upgraded to KDE 4.2. The problem has not changed. I can confirm that on other machines with similar setups, Flash 10 does work in Firefox, a lot of times I do have the empty space in konqueror where the Flash animation was supposed to be shown, and only sometimes I do get a working Flash animation, even on YouTube. Since kubuntu seems to install without Firefox these days (which is a decision I support), I believe this is rather important.
