Doesn't work with kdebase-bin-kde4 and konqueror from KDE 3 - the player runs, but it does not paint. (audio plays however)

After removing KDE4 and installing kdebase-bin-kde3 (4:3.5.8-2ubuntu16), a grey box renders. I'm testing this on http://nicovideo.jp 's player, and http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
