Yes, it does seem to be your monitors fault. In your Xorg.0.log file you can see the monitor is probed via DDC to determine what resolutions the monitor supports. The monitor then returns information equalivalent to what we saw with the output of xresprobe. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to resolve your issue. You may consider contacting the manufacturer of the monitor and let them know about the issue. With your permission I would like to close the bug report.
