I did have a wired network connection when I tried it.
One thing that noticed the other day when I tried it again. When I loaded the STA attempted to load, I noticed that the netman indicator activated and loaded the network. The jockey driver indicator was never changed. However, it didn't last beyond reboot. Wireless was not active.
