I used to have the exact same problem, on my dell mini 9 with BCM4312.
In despair I tried to find a way of making my wireless work, when after many failed attempts I noticed in jockey.log that the command "patch" was not there. I just did an apt-get install patch and it worked.

I hope this will help some of those who experience the same issue.
