I applied the patch from post 18, and this is my output now on "sudo apt-get install irda-utils"

dpkg: error processing irda-utils (--configure):

 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Errors were encountered while processing:

 irda-utils
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Franz Dietzmann got it fixed, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
