1. add yourselve to the copyright credits like:
The package was initially packaged for debian by XXXX and improved to make use of xpi.mk in ubuntu by YOU.

2. if possible, please ship the chrome jar unzipped in upstream branch, merge over to .ubuntu branch and during build zip the .jar up in build/XXX:: before zipping the .xpi. you have to remove the chrome .jar in clean:: then.

3. maybe explicitly only zip the required files up instead of removing what you don't want. you could also use zip ... -x to exclude those in the first place.
