Comment 19 for bug 335662

You can uncompress sources and run on its directory:
patch -p0 <hplip-systray.patch

Maybe it could be also modified in an already installed hplip editing /usr/share/hplip/ui4/systemtray.py by hand, but I haven't tried it :-/
