Happens also with a Compaq 3317LA (v3000 series), it sends the signals and calls the scripts, but when it tries to execute the acpi_fakekey 224 (or the selected number) it just does nothing.

Writing directly to the /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCD/brightness device works withouth problems. Is it a problem with acpi_fakekey then??
