@Sylvain Defresne: merci beaucoup. It also works for me. I compiled the second patch (same as jbob). For me your version rocks as well - its time to give the patch to the gnome guys ....

PS: I'm not so firm in compiling. In #205 is that a typical way of compiling single debs? Where can i learn more about this?
