i am seeing the same behavior... "transport endpoint is not connected". is there anything that i can disable to get this to go away? i don't use windows shares.
i ended up creating a shell script called "gnome-session" in my bin folder that unmounts the folder first, then runs the real gnome-session. my xinitrc runs this wrapper script instead, which seems to fix this. the advantage being that it works with any display manager and with nomachine.
