"Export as PDF" instead of "Print to File" might be a good incremental change but my intuition says people aren't going to look for it in the print dialog. And there is also the problem of how to present the other formats currently in "Print to File" (svg and postscript).

Like antistress says, the best solution would be a menuitem in the File menu. antistress could you please identify the applications that most need this fix?
