I've noticed this with all archive types I tried (rar, tar.gz, tar.bz2, zip).

The archive is on the Desktop (but it happens even if it isn't). The home folder is on a different partition than the root, but this shouldn't be visible to the program, right?

The same thing happens if I click "Extract" on the toolbar or in the file's right-click menu.

It happens with any kind of archive contents.
