I can also confirm this for at least the left and down arrow keys. I'm not sure what the value of these outputs are but on an Hardy system, updated to latest packages this morning:

-(~)$ xprop -root|grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xorg", "pc101", "us", "", "lv3:ralt_switch"

And on the beta Intrepid system installed Tuesday and updated to the latest packages this morning:

-(~)$ xprop -root|grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "evdev", "pc105", "us", "", ""

I am seriously considering rebuilding the Intrepid system using Hardy as this bug limits my ability to do my job effectively.
