Also experiencing this issue. It seems like most of these reports are coming from Dell laptop users; could it be hardware related? I'm experiencing it on a Dell Inspiron 8600.
To reiterate what der_vegi mentioned, this only happens when selecting System > Shutdown..., it doesn't happen if I select "Shutdown" from the FUSA applet.
