Yes, I noticed on update today that bug effects me too.
All was well with small improvements in power/battery indicator happening over the past week, then bang, now just empty space and not able to view battery charge value or select power management from this applet.

Hover over applet and no info either.

Dell D420 with all updates.

what is the patch?
