From what they described in the bug report, it seems like different bug, their icons wheren't drawn, but where functional.
In my case the icons are drawn, albeit wrong ones, yet they aren't functional at all.
In any case, I haven't seen this happen on my laptop in the last few days, and I do restart or log off and on quite a lot during the day...
So if the bug won't reappear over the course of the next few days, I will updates it's status here and on gnome as invalid or not reproducible. I will keep you posted :)
