Hey guys, are you using GIMP?
This may be a shot in the dark, but two days ago, I retouched photos in GIMP for about 3 hours, then shut down. The next morning, my icons on the top panel were badly scrambled. Usually, only my "Show Desktop" icon is affected (the right third is overlapped by the neighbouring graphic).
I moved the panel to the left and back to the top, and since then, it's been fixed (except "Show Desktop"). I haven't used GIMP since, though, either.
