Ubuntu 9.10, amd64, clean install. Had this exact problem on two machines, one had nvidia, the other amd,
so it's not a graphics card problem. If it's a problem with a stuffed config file, then it's getting that way either
by default, or when I've customized my panels. It's a bug, someone fix it please.
