Nicolò, the DPI is probably correct (you can measure it yourself to be sure). The problem is that all the default fonts in Ubuntu are way too big, because previously everyone defaulted to 96 DPI. That is why I filed this bug, and I am re-opening it now that bug #157398 is fixed in Jaunty.
