Concise problem statement:
After succesfully installing Adobe AIR by following the instructions provided by Adobe at:
Sadly the bug tracker system from adobe doesn't cover air products, only flash and flex (not bad at all).
So i've had reported this issue via

The Add/Remove applications list empties (all available applications are erased, nothing is shown) and one must do a reinstall as suggested in:
http:// ubuntuforums. org/showthread. php?t=1016743
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Install adobe air in linux
2. Install any Air application
3. Go to Add/Remove programs
Results:
The list of programs is empty. Reinstalling gnome-app-install program would solve the issue
Expected results:
The list of programs should shown as usual
