Grumbels PPA adds something more than only this patch, and it caused warning for every startup, so I decided to open my own PPA.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:aapo-rantalainen/gimp26-noghostline sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gimp
It contains gimp from Ubuntu 11.10 and patch from post80, nothing more. Truly speaking I do not understand why this patch fixes it, but gimp seems to work now.
