I can confirm Ingo's PPA using Alexia's disable-history-buffer patch results in Gimp finally being usable in Oneiric. Tested with a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch and tablet PC.

There may be a slight problem with very light pressure strokes not coming through (stroke discontinuous) and tool selection being a little sticky. But that just might need a little fiddling. More testing would be helpful of course.
