This glitch occurs since the upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10 with GIMP 2.6.11.

What I tried (and none of the approaches changed anything):
- uninstalling Compiz
- running xfce, Unity 2D and Gnome classic style
- booting without my Bamboo CTH-460 (and not pluging it in at all)

However, normal operation with the mouse and tablet are fine - e.g. "krita", games and desktop in general are running well.
