Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

In the new gdm you need to press alt+_key to get to the language/keyboard/session selections since tab doesn't bring you there if you wan't to change them by using your keyboard. But once you do that, it's impossible to input a password since the password input field cannot be reactivated neither by keyboard nor by mouse.

I confirm that this is a bug.
After you use e.g. alt+s to switch session, you can modify the password field even if you click on it with the mouse.
I think that it would be best if the tab key would cycle through everything, i.e. both login users and passwords and the options (like sessions) at the bottom. And having alt+s as a faster shortcut is great, but I think that alt+p should get you back to the password field?

oop i meant "you cannot modify the password field" instead of "you can".

I got the same issue when trying to change the keyboard layout.

I first select my account and click on the keyboard list. If needed layout is in the list, the password field is available. But if I try to add a new layout using "Other..." item from the list, then I can't enter anything in that password field.
