In my case it seems to happen when pressing 'Enter', but infrequently. I recall entering a task in Thunderbird and pressing Enter to edit, composing an email message and pressing Enter for a new paragraph and login into my bank, pressing Enter after my password. The typing it self doesn't seem to be an issue.
