This bug affects the core, not just Firefox. The entire product line is affected.

Also note that Mozilla software are currently the only Linux apps I'm aware of that exhibit this behavior. Especially among the more popular ones.

If anything, it hurts Mozilla from marketing standpoint ;)

If it doesn't get fixed now, when will it be fixed? With all the major things that are brewing in Mozilla (moving exclusively to XULRUnner, reducing memory consumption, possible foray into mobile devices after memory requirements have been fixed and who knows what else).
