Too bad this bug only affects Linux. Because I believe I've seen preinstalled OEM Windows' with only ru enabled on them...

Actually this is true for users in Cyrillic regions - they can easily have e.g Russian and Ukrainian installed alongside English. Switching from Russian to English may involve two keystrokes instead of one - just to execute a Ctrl+C!

I've found one more thing... Some newer bugs have flags like blocking‑firefox2, blocking‑firefox3 (thanks Ofir in comment 120). This one doesn't... I'm afraid this bug cannot and will not be seen by too many people. WHo knows, this bug might have been dumped a couple of years ago... Should we post a new bug marked as blocking-firefox2 with a link here just in case?
