I have this same problem about half the time I close FF3.5, and am also running Ext4.
Disabling all extensions (renaming my directory so it starts clean even), does not make the problem go away. I'm not seeing this behavior with any other application.
Before killing the process, I've noticed that many times it appears to be using a lot of CPU.
