Hi I'm new here. Initially I thought that this was caused by opening a link in a new tab; the new tab would obtain the zoom level from the original tab. I thought that it was a great feature. Consider changing the site-specific nature of the zoom level to tab-specific in nature.

As mentioned in Bug 431332, "Can be disabled with browser.zoom.siteSpecific".
