It happens the same to me (Bug #360004: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/a):

The window controls of the program (close, maximize, minimize and window-options buttons) are not visible because the window is too big on the screen and they are hidden behind the Ubuntu top menu bar and I can only interact with the firefox window by keyboard commands. It happens since the last firefox packet update.
