As a side note, I have stopped using the master password feature in Firefox completely, now that encrypted home directory is so easily accomplished. This, combined with full disk encryption, is enough for me. It also means I accept the risk of exposing my passwords if someone gets past those two layers of encryption (for example if I misplaced a non-encrypted backup, etc.).
