These two patches do not resolve the problem for me with firefox 3.0.1 on Fedora9, x86_64. I grabbed the fedora src rpm for firefox (firefox-3.0.1-1.fc9.src.rpm), installed it, untarred the firefox-3.0.1-source.tar.bz2 source tarball, applied the two patches (326390 and 329486) and then tarred the patches sources back up again. Then I made the rpm, built it and reinstalled.
Now when I start a session, with two tabs requiring https authentication, as well as an extension that also uses the master password (reminderfox), I still get numerous prompts for the master password. The process is definitely cleaner, but I'm still prompted for the master password many times.
