This doesn't block branch releases, IMO. I'm sorry that it's annoying, but it's annoying for a pretty small subset of our general user population. If we see a well-tested, bulletproof patch nominated for approval1.9.0.1 we might take it on the branch, but I think your better hope is 1.9.1.
