I think this is desirable, BUT since this bug is so severe for the usage of ff there should be a quick and dirty workaround that solves the issue for password dialogs first. After that a good idea can be found and implemented. This is definitly a show stopper. Actually the session restore should be handled like in ff 2 (only when a crash occurs) and the option to save the session when closing should be disabled until this bug is fixed somehow. It doesn't make sense to introduce a new feature that doesn't work like expected.
