It appears that this bug occurs when images are either stretched/zoomed or tiled (repeated). Also, it only seems to appear with large images. On my computer images of sizes of 253x253 pixels are affected, but images of 253x252 pixels are not.

I've attached a test case so you can try for yourself and see if the images break at the same sizes.
