The same image, scaled, renders incorrectly

This is the same image as attachment 300345, but scaled to fit within the window. The bottom portion of the previously-visible part of the image shows at the top, and the rest is blacked out.

In some cases (not shown here) the page icon changes when zooming in for the first time. Generally it shows vertical bars of colour (or black and white), then changes to a square of grey (and stays like that). In all cases, it's rendered wrongly.
