Comment 214 for bug 182038

I spent some time testing this (again).
It definitely smells like a timing problem.

I got it to work correctly once with safe-mode.
I then whittled my way through disabling all the extensions.
I then reproduced the error with safe-mode on.
Let me say this, just because it works once in a certain configuration, does
not mean the problem is fixed. Because it can just as easily fail again.

I would like to request that the Headline of this bug please be changed.
This has nothing to do with XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps, as all that parameter does
is tweak the timing, and it does not fix the problem.

I'd also like to request that this bug be opened.
This is a real problem, and until it gets diagnosed down to root cause, blaming
the X-server is not going to fix it.
