... planet.ubuntu.com is a wonderful testsuite as I (don't) see problematic images at least once a day :)

So I still have the problem and see
 - shifted images with black borders
 - black rectangles when zoomed
 - transparent rectangle with image beeing rendered when trying to drag-and-drop
