Hi,

I did remove all radeon related packages, but it didn't solve the problem. It even introduced me a new bug (344640). The brightness of the laptop is very low and it can't be changed. Luckily I have my external monitor attached as well, so I still can read this ;-)

#apt-get remove --purge radeontool xserver-xorg-video-radeon
#apt-get remove --purge fglrx-kernel-source fglrx-modaliases
#apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg-video-mach64 xserver-xorg-video-r128
