I'm attaching a dump of the DSDT on my EliteBook 8530p. On a side note, I'm interested in what you will do to check whether a BIOS bug may be responsible for the issue. Can you maybe outline your procedure?
As for the "Fan aways ON" setting, I keep that one disabled anyway.
