Well, you received a reply to your bug from an -ati triager within a day
of your report, which you indicate partially helped. Compared with the
many bugs in Launchpad which never get a reply, it seems you're getting
pretty decent service.
Take care that you don't confuse ATI/AMD's support for bug support in
launchpad. They do not deal directly with ubuntu bug reports, only ones
that we upstream to them.
If you wonder whether we are upstreaming -ati bugs, indeed yes we are.
Look at the upstream report:
-ati has the highest % bugs upstreamed of all the major video drivers.
AMD employs an engineer to work on -ati bugs, and indeed of the bugs
I've upstreamed, he responds and usually fixes the majority of them.
So you may question their level of support, but I don't!
If you are anxious to get your issue upstreamed, you're welcome to
upstream it yourself. We've documented the guidelines for doing this
here:
